Metalcam Steelworks is equipped with:
- a 35 ton capacity arc melting furnace;
- a ladle furnace for refining;
- a degassing unit with V.O.D. plant to produce low carbon-content stainless steel.
All cycle phases are equipped with stirring by blowing in Argon.
Ingots are poured at the source and produced in different shapes and dimensions with weights varying from 3 to 35 tons.
 ESR facility
Our electro-slag remelting (ESR) facility is equipped with:
- 2 ESR furnaces that can produce ingots with a maximum 1400mm diameters and maximum 50 ton weights.
The relatively small size of the steelworks means that Metalcam can be highly flexible and produce steel that meets very high quality standards.
